UGC NET is the national level examination conducted across India for determining the eligibility for the Post of Assistant Professor and/or Junior Research fellowship (JRF) award in Indian Colleges and Universities. It is conducted twice a year for a total of 81 subjects. The UGC NET exam comprises of two papers. Paper 1 is common and mandatory for all candidates which comprise of general research and teaching aptitude type MCQ questions. Paper 2 is a subject specific paper of his/her Post Graduation or related subject.
