MyPaint is a free and open source graphics editor best suitable for digital painting. It includes features like layer view, brush settings, flood fill functionality, scratch pad and brush strokes that differ based on view rotation and view zoom. The brush stroke palette lists many different brush styles that let you experiment and discover what works for you.
The brush settings like barrel rotation, attack angle, gridmap, posterize, smudge settings helps to create realistic paint effect.
How to install MyPaint?
The following two methods can be used to install MyPaint on your Raspberry Pi.
1. Using APT in the Command Line
The most common way to install a software on your Raspberry Pi is to use the command line. Open a terminal and type the following command.
Another way to install a software on your Raspberry Pi is via Software Center or Graphical package manager. Let's move to the steps.
Click on Applications menu > Preferences > Add / Remove Software
Type MyPaint in Search Bar and press enter. It lists all the Packages relavent to MyPaint app. Choose the required packages to install MyPaint and click "APPLY". The following Authentication window will show up.
